Dear all,
On behalf of the Malaysian Society of Geriatric Medicine, and the organising committee of the Malaysian Congress of Geriatric Medicine (MCGM) 2026, I am delighted to invite you to join us on the upcoming congress. The theme for the year’s congress is "Ageing in Place – Continuity, Community and Care".
Kuala Lumpur will host this annual congress from 9 – 11 July 2026, at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Its central location and accessible transport links make it the perfect setting for delegates from across Malaysia and abroad to gather for the largest national meeting on geriatric medicine and aged care. Kuala Lumpur is not just the capital of Malaysia. It is a vibrant convergence point for Malaysian culture, cuisine, and abundance of shopping malls.
Building on the theme of MCGM 2026, the congress will explore how older adults can receive care seamlessly and continuously within their communities. The programme will offer a balance of clinical topics, impactful research, and policy discussions. Topics will include early detection and optimal management of chronic diseases; cross-sector collaboration to ensure safe-community based care; and the adoption of innovation to future-proof aged care delivery. The congress will feature lectures, symposiums, interactive workshops and panel discussions by national and international experts.
MCGM 2026 will continue to be the platform to showcase the excellent work taking place in your clinical practice or research setting. We invite you to submit your abstracts for either oral or poster presentations. Share the good work that you are doing that it may benefit others and strengthen the wider geriatric medicine fraternity. With the large gathering of passionate delegates, MCGM 2026 offers the perfect opportunity to network and build meaningful connections.
